Our sustainable tap system brings the spirit of wine country to the table while helping keep thousands of bottles, corks, foils and labels out of landfills. Why Kegs Are Better Than Bottles A single wine keg holds the equivalent of more than 26 bottles. Instead of being discarded after one use, each keg can be cleaned, refilled and reused throughout its lifetime. With a reusable life of more than 30 years, one keg can replace thousands of traditional wine bottles and significantly reduce the packaging required to bring wine from the winery to your table. That means less glass, fewer corks and labels, and a more sustainable pour - without sacrificing the quality of the wine in your glass. Reducing the Footprint of Every Pour Traditional wine packaging requires glass bottles, corks, foils, labels and shipping materials. Our tap system helps eliminate much of that packaging while reducing the carbon footprint associated with serving wine. Compared with traditional bottles, our reusable keg system can deliver a 96% reduction in packaging’s carbon footprint and keep approximately 2,340 pounds of bottle waste out of landfills over the lifetime of a keg.
